Privacy Policy

HG Digital is a go-to-market consultancy based in Austin, Texas, operated by Eric Glass. In this policy, "HG Digital," "we," "us," and "our" refer to that business. You can reach us any time at eric@hgdigital.co. For privacy questions, we are the controller of the information described below. When we process personal data on behalf of a client, we act as that client's service provider or processor, under their instructions and agreement. We comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws, and with the terms of the platforms we use to collect data.

We collect three kinds of information.

Information you give us

When you book a call, send an email, or otherwise contact us, we receive what you choose to share. That usually means your name, email address, company, and the details of what you want help with.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit hgdigital.co, our analytics tools record standard technical and usage data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived. We use this to understand traffic and improve the site. See the Cookies and analytics section for detail.

Information from third-party platforms

We use professional platforms, including LinkedIn, to run outreach and engagement for our own business and on behalf of clients. When you connect with us, respond to a message, or interact with our content on one of those platforms, we may receive profile and interaction data that the platform makes available, such as your name, title, company, and the messages you send us. We handle that data under this policy and under the terms of the platform it came from.

When we receive data through LinkedIn and its APIs, we follow LinkedIn's API Terms of Use. We use LinkedIn data solely to identify and communicate with relevant business contacts as part of our outreach services, and for no unrelated purpose. Specifically:

• We do not sell, rent, lease, share, distribute, or transfer LinkedIn data to any third party.
• We do not use LinkedIn data in advertisements or to target ads at any individual.
• We keep LinkedIn data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and no longer.
• You can ask us to delete the LinkedIn data we hold about you at any time, and we will delete it without undue delay. If you withdraw your connection with us on LinkedIn or close your account, we will delete the data we collected through it.
• If our LinkedIn API access ends or our application is terminated, we will delete the LinkedIn data we collected through it without undue delay, except where the law requires us to keep it.

We use the information above to:

• Respond to you, schedule calls, and deliver the work you ask for.
• Operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
• Run relevant outreach and follow-up, and measure whether it is working.
• Keep records, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases: your consent, where you have given it; our legitimate interests in operating and growing our business in a way that respects your rights; and compliance with our legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business and only as needed for that purpose. These include hosting and analytics providers such as Vercel, scheduling and email tools such as Google, and the professional and outreach platforms we use, including LinkedIn and our customer relationship tools. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and for analytics through Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics, where permitted and subject to your consent where the law requires it. These help us see which pages are useful and how the site performs. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, to maintain our business records, and to meet legal obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict certain uses, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO; in the EU, your national authority).

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit who can access it.

We operate from the United States, and the providers we use may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer information from the EEA, the UK, or similar regions, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms to protect it.

Our website and services are meant for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site links to other services, such as our scheduling tool and LinkedIn. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them. We encourage you to read theirs.

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
